The Swallow

A Swallow flew over her head
And sat and gawped at her
Mesmerized by something in her, he thought
Who was she and how she came so far

He hopped towards her stealthily
Until a gesture changed her hue
For the first time he saw her blue eyes
Her lips were like morning dew.

He wished to care and love her
But night started gulping the day
Fearing the night might trouble her
He flew showing her the way.
