Set me on a wet pyre
and kindle a candle below
let it be a scorching sunny day
see how my burnt blood flow

It might not be enough yet
to put off your rage
Try to put some petroleum then
or strike me hard and meet your vengence

I don't know what you hate
I don't know what you love
At night, you mourn the death of the nightangle
and in day, kill the white dove

My blood may not rinse your pain
but it will set me free
I am pissed off with the riddles
I just need the goddamn key

Anger plagued my mind
Hatred rusted my soul
I laid my hands on you
and we both corroded
till the end of time

Today time takes a step backwards
past emerges once again for thee
last time it was you on the brink
this time it is me

Silent whisper of an antique voice, I hear
old mirage of a haunted october night, I see
the Ganga tells me a tale today
of life that plunged in it to flee

Insomnia

I beg for sleep every night
hear zillion voices fight
faces known and unknown
questions that never saw the light

I reprimand myself
for screams incognizable in my brain
thoughts imperceptible keep barging inside
as night falls in the beaten lane

I even lick the alligator's boots in heaven
pray for his mercy and grace
HE kicks my fate in his trashbin
and says: U r just another case!

I have not seen morning
I don't even know why
I don't even remember when I saw her last
May be, I saw her cry

I can only dream about mornings
For when she comes I am still asleep
clunging on to her in my dreams
I take a gaint leap

But when I get up to see her
she is no where to be found
A raging sun with its insomniac eyes
looks at me with optimism abound

Once again you tread those beaten lane
wrack your wounds and paint your pain
I can see the pregnant sky and storm within
But still I wait for the acid rain

I know words bore you now
and tears: a weak link
you scratch your bruises till they bleed
but its funny, your eyes do not blink

I hear you've put on weight
weight under which you bury your soul
you cover your light in the darkness of your mind
till time turns the diamond into coal

Diamond or coal or a speck of dust
doesn't matter, someday everything will rust
so plan your odyssey, I will plan mine
Time will see who first crosses the line

I like your smile
for it looks real
you can kill me with it
they are so surreal

your words smeared on my dying hope
so soft and perfect
like those white petals over the dead
your eyes so neat and clear
they can devour a million libraries
without a fleet

These days I don't see truth
I don't mind coz fake looks so believable
still I am tempted to believe today
your nude and bare skin
face you face, eye to eye
with all my seven deadly sins

Does the night still succumb to the day
or they spare the last ray
even the alligator in heaven, can't say
till then, let me wash off my blood stains
at my own sinful bay

There lies an ocean
Its pleases all eyes
It welcomes all tributaries
But still at times cries

With a face enriched by the colour of sun
And smile worth a thousand rainbow
It shines and glitters always
But its eyes are always mum

You know it is deep
But you don't try to find
You wait a while and move on
As once again it stays blind.
